SHOW US YOUR HAPPY DOG CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

 

  1. ELIGIBILITY:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older and have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at time of entry, and who had internet access as of September 6, 2009. Contest begins on September 6, 2009 and ends on October 1, 2009 (the "Promotion Period"). Employees of Gabert Productions LLC (the "Sponsor"), its subsidiaries, licensees, agencies, affiliates and members of the immediate families (spouses and parents, siblings, children and their spouses and in-laws) and persons living in the same household of such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible.  Void where prohibited by law.
  2. TO ENTER:  To enter, email a photograph of your happy dog with your name, address, age, email address, name of the dog, age and its breed to contest@happydogland or enter through this [link]. Photographs must be in jpeg format, and no larger than 4MB. No cell phone photos. To be eligible, photos must not include images of humans. Enter August 22nd - September 10th for the drawing on September 11th; enter September 12th- 17th for the drawing on September 18th; enter September 19th - 24th for the drawing on September 25th; and enter September 26th - October 1st for the drawing on October 2nd. You may enter only one time per week and you must re-enter for each subsequent drawing. Visit the Contest Entry Page for full entry instructions.  Winner will be randomly selected from among eligible entries each week of the Promotion Period by a representative of Sponsor on or around September 11, 2009, September 18, 2009, September 25, 2009 and October 2, 2009.  To be eligible for the drawing held on each Friday of the Promotion Period, all submissions for that week's drawing must be made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the prior Thursday.
  3. PRIZES: Each week the winner will have his/her dog photo featured on happydogland.com, and will receive a signed copy of Happy Dog Caring For Your Dog's Body Mind and Spirit (est. retail value: $16), a collar and leash set from Barker and Meowsky (est. retail value: $75), a $10 coupon and a bag of treats from Wellness Pet Food (estimated retail value: $15) and 4 Pledge Fabric Sweepers for Pet Hair (estimated retail value: $20).  Est. retail value of each prize package: $126. Total estimated retail value: $504. 
  4. Winners will be contacted via email and/or courier at Sponsor's sole discretion. If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days of initial attempt, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner selected. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.
  5. GENERAL: Taxes on prizes and all expenses not specified related to acceptance and use of prizes are the sole responsibility of winners. By participating in the Show Us Your Happy Dog Contest (the "Promotion"), entrants agree (a) to these rules and decisions of Sponsor which shall be final in all respects relating to the Promotion; (b) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives from any and all claims, demands, costs, expenses, liability, losses or damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the Promotion or their acceptance, use or misuse of a prize, including liability for personal injury or death; and (c) if a winner, to the use of name and/or photograph for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use.  Winners may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release, which must be returned within the time period specified by Sponsor or an alternate winner may be selected.  Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification of winner and selection of an alternate winner.  Sponsor, its officers, directors, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and representatives and their respective employees are not responsible for (a) any electronic, hardware or software, program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, interruptions, disconnections, miscommunications, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including, without limitation, server malfunction or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries; (b) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, and (c) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.  Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website or act in violation of these Official Rules will be disqualified, at Sponsor's sole discretion.  Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the Promotion or any portion thereof should viruses, bugs, or other causes beyond control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion, in which case the prizes will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation.  No prize transfer.  No prize substitution except by Sponsor due to unavailability, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded.  Sponsor is not responsible or liable for late, lost, illegible, damaged or misdirected entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered at the time of entry. Potential winners may be required provide evidence that winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with a winning entry. In no event will Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your access to and use of the internet site www.happydogland.com or other sites promoting the Promotion or the downloading from and/or printing material downloaded from said sites. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on this site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.  Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the web site.  Entries become the property of Sponsor. 
  6. USE OF INFORMATION AND SUBMITTED PHOTOGRAPHS:  Information submitted by entrants will be used in accordance with Sponsor's privacy policy, available here, the Terms and Conditions of the Happy Dog Land website, available here, and the submission guidelines for sharing user generated content, available here.  All photographs must be the original work of the entrant. All participants warrant that they have the right to submit any photographs submitted as part of an entry to the Promotion, including the right to submit the image itself and any pets depicted within than image.
